How Our Provider Network Works

Who You Talk To

When you send a request, you will hear from an independent provider in our network. This is a local business that inspects, tests or removes mold. It is not Habitsinternet Mold Help.

Habitsinternet Mold Help does not visit homes. We simply make the introduction. After that, the conversation is between you and the provider.

What Happens on the First Conversation

Expect a few simple questions. The provider may ask where you saw the mold, whether there has been a leak or flood, and how long it has been there. Photos can help if you have them.

Then they may suggest a visit. Many providers can respond quickly, but timing depends on the provider and the season. You can always say you need time to think.

What to Ask an Independent Provider

A good provider is happy to answer questions. Here are some worth asking:

  • Are you licensed and insured where required here?
  • Will you find the moisture source, not only clean the mold?
  • Will testing be done by someone separate from the cleanup?
  • What does the written quote include and leave out?
  • How will you contain the area so spores do not spread?
  • What happens if more mold shows up behind a wall?
  • Is there a plan to confirm the work is done?

Write down the answers. They are easy to compare later.

You Are in Control

You can talk to more than one provider. You can ask for a second opinion. You can say no. Nothing about the request forces you to hire.

Be careful with anyone who rushes you or won't put things in writing. A calm, clear explanation is a good sign.

Typical U.S. costs vary a lot by the size of the job, so always get a written quote.
